Islamabad: A case has been registered against PTI leaders and workers in Noon police station for the incident of stone pelting on police personnel.
According to the police, 11 provisions including anti-terrorism and attempted murder have been included in the FIR, while more than 70 leaders and activists, including Shoaib Shaheen and Amir Mughal, have been named in the case. Police were attacked near No. Chongi, police personnel were attacked with sticks and stones and injured, windows of official vehicles were broken.
According to the FIR, death threats were made to the police personnel and official equipment was confiscated from the police personnel.
It should be noted that on September 8, the PTI workers who came to the rally in Islamabad had a clash with the police. The route issued by the PTI workers who came to the rally at Chongi No. 26 was violated while the police stopped them. But the participants of the meeting pelted stones.
