The government has ‘strangled democracy’, Sonia Gandhi criticized the government for suspending parliament members.
In her address, CPP President Sonia Gandhi said that the present central government has strangled democracy. Opposition MPs are being targeted continuously to suppress the voice of the opposition.
The political conflict continues with the suspension of opposition parliamentarians. Now Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi has given her first response in this matter. Sonia Gandhi said that this government has strangled democracy. Never before have so many opposition members of Parliament been suspended from the House.
Sonia Gandhi addressed the Congress Parliamentary Party meeting held at the Central Hall of the Constitution House of the Parliament House. Meanwhile, he questioned the central government’s decision. He said that the opposition members of Parliament had demanded a statement from the Home Minister in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha about the extraordinary incident of December 13. Sonia further said that what happened on December 13 was unforgivable and should be done. Cannot be justified. It took the Prime Minister four days to address the nation and express his views on the incident, and he did so outside Parliament. By doing so, he clearly indicated an insult to the dignity of the House and the people of the country.
