WhatsApp is soon going to add a feature that users have never imagined before.
Meta has released details about third-party chats feature in WhatsApp and Messenger.
This is a feature of WhatsApp through which users will be able to chat with friends on other messaging apps like Telegram and Signal etc.
The feature will be available in the coming weeks only to EU users who will be able to tap into other messaging apps within Messenger and WhatsApp. The company is rolling out a new notification system for Messenger and WhatsApp that will Users should be aware that they can link their chats to other third-party apps.
Meta said that the portability support will not be limited to the core features but messaging features like reactions, direct replies, typing indicators and read receipts are also available to users.
Similarly, the option to create groups with other people in third-party chats will also be provided from next year.
The company also plans to provide third-party video and voice calls support by 2027.
